| Tanner Backwash Drying Beds Project (7324106) | INVITATION TO BID Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Amador Water Agency, located at Amador Water Agency, 12800 Ridge Road, Sutter Creek, CA 95685, until 2:00 P.M. local time on September 1, 2026, or such later date as may be set by addendum, and then will be publicly opened and read for the construction of the following public works project: Tanner Backwash Drying Beds Project Prospective contractors must be prequalified under the AWA 1-Year Prequalification of Contractors to Work on AWA Capital Improvement Projects in order to bid on this project. The contract documents for the Project, including the public works construction contract, instructions to bidders, bid forms, and plans and specifications, may be obtained from the Amador Water Agency FTP site upon request by emailing the Agency at bids@amadorwater.gov to request and submit the required plan holder request form or by calling Lucas Carthew at (209) 257-5207. This Invitation to Bid will also be located on the Agency website at www.amadorwater.gov located under Request for Proposal under the Development tab. Bidders must comply with the Instructions to Bidders. All bid questions must be received no later than 5:00 P.M. on August 21, 2026 to be answered prior to bid opening. The Agency will hold a mandatory pre-bid conference at the site of the project, Tanner Water Treatment Plant at 12800 Ridge Road, Sutter Creek, CA 95685, on August 6, 2026 at 9:00 A.M. It is suggested that each prospective bidder review the bid documents and project site prior to the pre-bid conference. Each prospective bidder shall be required to attend the pre-bid conference. Bids from any bidder not attending this conference will be rejected as non-responsive. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed forms and accompanied by cash, a cashier's check, certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form payable to the Agency in an amount not less than 10 percent of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond and faithful performance bond each in the full amount of the Contract price, and insurance with certificates and endorsements of insurance, as provided in the Contract Documents. The required bonds must be provided only by a surety insurer who is admitted to do business by and in good standing with the California Department of Insurance. Bidders are hereby notified that in accordance with Public Contract Code section 22300, securities may be substituted for any monies that the Agency may withhold pursuant to the terms of this Contract to ensure performance. The successful bidder must possess the following classification or type of contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board: Class A, California. To be qualified to bid on this Project, bidders must be prequalified and registered and qualified to perform public work with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant section 1725.5 of the Labor Code. All subcontractors listed in a qualified bidder’s bid as performing any portion of the work also must be registered and qualified with the Department of Industrial Relations. To qualify to bid on this Project, bidders must submit to the Agency copies of valid Certificates of Reported Compliance, as described in section 2449(n) of Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations, for the fleet selected to perform such work proposed in the bid. If applicable, subcontractors must submit copies of valid Certificates of Reported Compliance, as well. If a bidder does not submit the necessary Certificates of Reported Compliance with their bid, the bid will be disqualified. Bids that equal or exceed $1,000,000 must be accompanied by an Iran Contracting Act certification in the form provided in section 1.9. The attention of bidders is directed to the requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and prevailing wage rates to be paid to all workers employed under the Contract in accordance with Labor Code sections 1770 and following. Copies of the prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file at the Agency's office, and will be made available to any interested party on request.
